Caring for your hair after colouring and ironing

Hair is known as one of the defining characteristics of a human being. Therefore, hair plays a vital role in everyone’s beauty and appearance. It’s the same for boys and girls, men and women in any part of the world. Everyone prefers to have hair with more density. Many opt for modern hair cuts that offer them a different yet more attractive look altogether.

Apart from the trendy, sleek haircuts, people also choose to straighten their hair or even curl their hair. With today’s busy lifestyle, women prefer to go for low maintenance hairstyles and haircuts. Hair colouring and ironing is also very popular among both men and women. Most of this straightening, curling and colouring work are done with the use of various chemically produced products. These chemicals are generally very strong and are directly used for the hair to change its structure permanently. For instance, hair straightening is done with the use of the popular styling tool, the hair straightening iron that straightens hair using heat.

Therefore, first make sure that these types of work are performed by professionals with thorough technical knowledge and experience. Once the job is done it is up to you to maintain your hair. Due to the excessive heat used for ironing and chemicals used for hair colouring your hair might experience some negative effects in the long term. So make sure you take well care of your hair after such changes you bring about to your natural hair. If you do so, then you will be able to maintain the colour of your hair for a longer period. Use a shampoo and conditioner that best suits your hair and a shampoo that is meant for coloured hair.

Such shampoos while keeping the colour fresh and soft will not remove the natural moisture of your hair. Also use a suitable leave in conditioner because such conditioners generally protect hair from harsh UV rays. Regular conditioner and oil treatments will keep your hair clean and prevent it from drying. Use the right comb and make sure that you remove the tangles slowly without damaging the hair once it is colored or ironed. Chlorine and very hot water is not suitable, so avoid swimming pools for a couple of weeks after you’ve coloured or ironed your hair.
